Bingo the frog

You have heard we got a frog but it's time to tell the short story of his froggy life.

We had a very sweet frog.

He minded his business, the fish didn't notice him and he didn't seem to notice them.

He had brown coloring, which reminded me of a little stone.

He was about a half an inch long.

He was so tiny, and so loved.

Lily especially enjoyed him in his short little life.

Bingo was active,

Always hopping around the tank.

He loved shrimp.

We prepared for him.

We lowered the water level for him as he also needed air. Got a bubble wall to bring more oxygen to the tank. Got floating grass for him to hang in while getting some air.

We brought him home and popped him into the water.

He hopped on the floating grass right away.

That made us so happy.

We watched as he sat there for a while.

He eventually hopped out and swam around the tank.

We loved watching him hop around and explore.

We had him for about a week.

When..

Lily sat one day looking for him.

She found him behind the Crusty Crab.

She looked in and he was on his side, not moving.

Lily comes to me,

“Mom, can you come move Bingo with the net? He hasn’t moved.”

I went, looked in and decided to get the net.

Slowly drop the net into the tank, scoop him up and move him.

He started moving again.

 We were excited.

Lily took a deep breath and said..

“Okay… he’s ok!”

We watched..

He hopped one last time and landed on his back!

We both looked at each other, waited awhile.

But we decided he was gone.

Now what do we do with a frog?

We flush fish!

Do we flush frogs?

But this time I could not pick him up.

It was different; he wasn't a fish.

I looked at him and decided.

Shane has to do this one!
