The Search Continues...
I still couldn't find Pink Fish!
She was nowhere in the tank.
Yellow fish still hasn’t moved, still looking at the filter.
Then a thought hit me,
“Is pink fish in the filter?”
“Does yellow fish know it?”
“Is he trying to save her?”
My mind was racing,
I called Shane this time, this was too important to text.
He answered,
“Hey, what's up?”
I blurted out,
No "hi" , no "hello."
No time for that. Straight to the point.
“I still can't find Pink Fish!”
“But Yellow Fish is still hanging by the filter!”
I then got to the question that's been running through my head,
“What's the chance Pink Fish got sucked into the filter, Yellow Fish knows it and is trying to save her?”
He responds with a calm tone,
“It's impossible for a fish to be sucked into the filter because of how small the holes are.”
While still on the phone, I looked into the tank to the filter,
“Hmmm..” I said out loud
But I really wasn't convinced he was right.
I then told him,
“But she's nowhere in the tank.”
You can tell he's trying to get off the phone, I mean he was working,
He responded one last time before hanging up.
“Well if you want to see, just take the lid off and look in. If you can’t tell, you can dump the water out into the tank and see if she's in there. But I really don't think she would be in the filter.”
I hung up,
I heard him.
But I really wasn't convinced,
I then opened the cover to the tank,
With the lid open, I could see Yellow Fish better.
He still hadn't moved,
Sitting under the current, swimming into the glass where he could only see the black part from the filter.
I couldn’t take my eyes off Yellow Fish. I really thought he was looking at the filter. I could picture him saying,
“Are you ok?”
“How can I save you?”
I couldn't help but think, he was stressed that his friend was stuck there.
I looked in and started talking to him,
“Is your friend in there?”
“Is that what you're doing?”
“Your other friends are down there.”
”why are you up here”
I needed to talk to one more person, before I decided what to do!
I picked my phone back up and messaged my friend Sheri.
Not because i thought she had fish,
Honestly, I didnt even know she had a fish tank.
Just because she has been a good voice of reason.
