The search continues..

Sheri already knew we had just got a fish tank. We talked pretty often, and she had been following along with all of my excitement.

So I got right to the point.

I texted her the situation,

No time for “hi”,

No time for “hello”

This was a time sensitive matter.

To be short but precise,

She responded with a few questions,

“Are those slots where the filter sucks up the water?”

“Yeah!” I replied

Sheri replied,

“Yeah, she’s definitely not in the filter!”

I read it, then I took a second to think.

“Yeah.. I’m not convinced”

“I’ll stick the phone in the filter and I will send you the video, you tell me if she’s in there! I can’t look!”

Before i sent the video, she had sent another text, that read,

“She wouldn’t have gotten sucked up through those!”

“Yeah.. still not convinced!” I thought.

I opened up the top of the filter,

Opened my camera,

Put the flash on, and took a video.

Trying not to look, I sent the video!

“Its too dark” she said with two laughing emoji faces

I next sent a photo of the Krusty Krab

Sheri replied,

“I am not sure if she could fit in Krusty Krab!”

She replied with some info,

“The thing is if she died in the Krusty Krab, she would be flat to the top of whatever she is in.

I then decided i was going to empty the filter,

I needed to know she wasn’t in there,

Yellow Fish had swam away for a second but then back again.

This had to be evidence that she's in there, despite what they think.

I then texted Sheri,

“Okay, I am dumping the filter into the tank!”

“I’m scared!”

“omg”

She then tried to convince me

“Maybe it’s just warmer there for him?”

I replied, because of course I’m not believing one bit of it.

“Maybe, or he’s trying to save his friend!”

I’m totally not being rational, but i still had to know,

“Is he trying to save her or is he just a weirdo?”

But then I thought, and maybe even texted her because of course, I needed someone to be with me during this. There was not a supervisor home and no way this could wait.

Yellow Fish needs to move,

I looked at him through the top of the tank.

I asked him,

“Can you move?”

Of course he did not in fact move.

It was worth a shot anyway!

“Okay, here we go” I texted Sheri

Then took the filter off the tank and dumped the water in.

I was so scared to find a fish in the bucket of the filter.

I screamed,

But no fish came out,

I took a deep breath,

I then took the filter sheet out of the filter and looked into it,

But I saw no fish.

Phew,

I picked the phone up again,

Dropping the filter on the desk,

And texted,

“She wasn’t in there”

"At least now I know he’s not trying to save her!”

I put the filter back together, then back on the tank.

Sheri then questioned,

“I”m wondering if she could be in that white rock?”

Before I replied,

I then noticed Yellow Fish is by the filter again,

I texted sheri,

“But he’s still by the filter”

“This is so weird, I wonder what he’s doing”

I then thought, and texted my thought,

“Maybe he’s in mourning!”

One thing was for sure.. Pink fish was still missing!
